As early as 1904, Eduard Bautz founded a company in Frankfurt am Main for the sale of machine tools and accessories from renowned manufacturers. In 1996, the machine tool accessories division was spun off from the steadily growing company and Walter Bautz GmbH Mess- und Spanntechnik was founded. From this grew until today a sales company with a service area, which sells few, but exclusive and technically high quality products. "We do not produce ourselves, we are a technical sales department that advises its customers in determining their actual needs and offers them the adequate products. We do this with twelve technically competent employees, with people who know their stuff," is how Managing Director Thomas Polak characterizes Bautz GmbH in Bickenbach in southern Hesse. The company now serves over 10,000 customers.
As an authorized representative, Bautz has been representing the well-known products of the Heidenhain measuring and control technology company since 1975, such as length and angle measuring systems, 3-D probes for measurements in the machine and, most recently, software products, such as a so-called State Monitor, which can record and evaluate machine data - also mobile - in order to measure the efficiency and productivity of a machine. The Chick workpiece clamping systems, which Bautz GmbH exclusively represents in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Austria, also offer a wide range of products. The American manufacturer's products are kept in stock so that Bautz can serve its customers on a daily basis.
