Description
IoT Box IO is the input output ports included member of Canias IoT Box family. Like IoT Box Mini it is also a low cost and low power consumption, small computer with a Linux based operating system, capable of running Canias client and other necessary applications like web browser, PDF viewer, office applications. It also has an IO module which enables communicating other devices using digital and analog signals. IoT Box IO has all capabilities of IoT Box Mini. However, with its IO module it adds wide range of digital and analog communication options on top of industry standard network communication protocols supported by IoT Box Mini (such as OPC, OPC/UA, MT Connect, MQTT, Siemens S7, MODBUS TCP…).
With IoT Box IO thanks to its several input and ports you can connect your sensors, relays, data sources directly to the box and read or set data from/to your devices.
Use cases
- Low cost IoT and automation enabled computer to be used in production environment.
- Read sensor data from various sensors
- Use fast counters
- Communicate with RS485, MODBUS RTU enabled devices
- Control your machinery, devices, relays, drivers using output ports
- Read information from machinery (quantity produced, validity of product, weight, speed, machine status, error reasons … )
- Set configuration to machinery
- Read network enabled environment sensor data (temperature, pressure, humidity…)
- Automated production order confirmations
- Show necessary documents to the operator (maintenance guides, quality control specs, production guide…)
- Realtime monitoring of the production
- ERP integrated operator panel for the production machinery
